Notes on Mysticism, et al - Part Two

The covenant contract between the Hebrew God and the Jewish people is perhaps the single most noteworthy act of Ceremonial Magick that can be referred to as 'historically-based', collectively observable, etc. It is an exclusive covenant between Yodh He Vau He and the descendants of Abraham by way of his son Isaac and Isaac's son Jacob, in order that the Jewish people may be loved and protected by this God dependant upon the obedience of 'the people' to the orders and restrictions, the terms, of The Covenant.

However it must be noted that any one act of Ceremonial Magick is not greater or less than another. In fact, within the experience and execution of Magickal Ceremony there admittedly ceases to exist any meaningful comparison, because Magick is dependant upon multi-tiered application of propriety.

All things considered, I am of the opinion that the inaugural validating of terms and consequent obedience to The Covenant itself (though not without reasonable fallibility) can not be simply replaced, as the christians would have us believe, by any other act in terms of Magickal potency, which is to say that the continuance of The Covenant continues indefinitely to serve those who are faithful to the contractual agreement, but The Law itself has been surpassed, and many times over. Still, as long as obedience to the legal arrangement made by God through The Law is voluntary, the agreement continues as a legitimate Binding meeting the necessary requirements, but this is difficult to imagine within a context wherein the religion, the politics, and the race can all be erroneously connoted and/or denoted due to a purposeful ambiguity as toward identity.

So, since it is not often addressed, and because I have a high regard for the various covenant archetypes not only in Judaism but in general commonwealth terms of all types, and also because other religions, primarily Christianity and Islam, share similar features of contractual fidelity rooted in Ceremonial magical Constructs, and often using translatable concepts of mystic language in their own particular Holy Books, and for many other reasons that demonstrate tendencies of use of Magick proper to the aims of Will, it must also be noted that these very same religions have at times grossly abused the Sublime Art and Science in manners which can rightly be called Black Magick, which ultimately translates as all which is not one's Own True Will and also the obstruction to others of the same pursuit.

It is for these reasons that one can rightly say that The Covenant, The Church, and Islam all are alike secondary systems, subordinate to higher Orders. And likewise, these systems have contributed toward certain divinatory pursuit in their own way - this is in fact the Real Worth of each of the monotheistic camps of the West, Not their books per se, nor certainly their teachings, but in the raw data, specifically their divinatory application as applied toward the Will itself.

Though any particular ceremonial act may be righly called 'equal' to another, this may be only true on one particular plane, which is to say that on certain levels these 3 have been surpassed. This is especially evident in light of what I term Yogic Philosophy (sweepingly entailing the various forms of yoga as per The Gita, the older Hatha Pradapika and Yoga Sutra, as well as Vedic evocations and invocations, the works of Iyengar and others, Hindu ceremony of various sorts, The Sanskrit Language itself,...) at one end of our current historical knowledge and at the other what has come to be known commonly as Ceremonial Magick in the modern era and which mirrors in description, nearly identically, the various mechanical-definitional principles of Yogic Philosophy mentioned herein. And at either end of the stream we find complimentary systems able to encompass oneanother, so that by both definition and scope we find them to be logically equivalent, or bi-conditionally related.

"Their eyes will open and they are bound to be like God knowing Good and Evil..."

There is but one right common to All: to struggle for existence until extinction.

This right can be forfeited at any time.

Nothingness and Pleroma alone are changeless.

Matter and energy do not exist as changeless states.

In any particular instance each Subject exists as a unique network of relationships, which is to say a Nexus of possibilities. Systems of Absolute Morality assume no varying situations, and so apply to no particular Subject which does exist in a real situation.

Every idea is filtered through the subject. When the Subject claims knowledge it is claiming to know at least as much as any external standard that one claims to verify, otherwise one could not confirm that standard. So, external standards of morality are by their nature of no worth.

There is, therefore, and can only be no higher standard of Morality than the Subject.

n. - It must be acknowledged, if only for sake of honesty, that in this context the phrase "Nothingness and Pleroma" may well be replaced, if only for the sake of increased potency, with the phrase "Nuit and Hadit".

Zeno

Rebuttal:

Zeno assumes that there is no motion, but uses terms pertaining to distances.
d=r*t, distance = rate multiplied by time
So, one can make use of rate and time in discussion of Zeno.
The discussion can reasonably end here. Zeno is inconsistent, illogical.

Zeno does not actually use mathematics, he uses rhetoric which includes fractions in an environment of illogic by his arbitrary distribution of the terms "infinite" and "finite". Zeno would have us believe that the distance is divisible infinitely but also have us believe that the same infinite division does not apply to time. A fixed game. [It may in fact be true that neither time nor space (nor matter) can be subdivided infinitely, though this in no way impedes either infinite regress or progress in discussions of past and future.]

For instance, will Achilles overtake the Turtle? Zeno himself assigns to Achilles the quality of "swiftness" and to the Turtle "slowness". So we can say that in comparison of Achilles' rate to Turtle's rate RA>RTU.

Applying this to the basic inverse variation mechanics in algebra (y=k/x) we can demonstrate the fallaciousness of Zeno's wordplay. Not a paradox, but a fixed game based on purposely assigning infinity and finiteness so as to skew the argument.

T = time (any time duration will do, including but not limited to the time that Achilles overtakes the turtle)
DA = Achilles' distance
DTU = Turtle's distance
RA = Achilles' rate
RTU = Turtle's rate
Applying t=d/r (y=k/x):
DA/ RA = T and DTU/ RTU = T

SO,

DA/ RA = DTU/ RTU

can be used to demonstrate the progress of Achilles as compared to the Turtle at any particular value of T.

As long as RA>RTU, which Zeno admits, Achilles will overtake the Turtle over a long enough timeline.

"Over a long enough time line the survival rate of everyone drops to zero"
- Tyler Durden, Fight Club

e.g. 1

in simplest terms:

RA = 2
RTU = 1
T = 1

So,
DA/2=DTU/1

After 1 hr.: Achilles has travelled 2 miles, Turtle 1 mile.
After 2 hr.: Achilles 4, Turtle 2

e.g. 2

In the case that Achilles begins 1 mile behind Turtle (rates as above):

(DA/RA) -1= (DTU/RTU)
After 2 hr.: Achilles 3, Turtle 2

The logic to the other arguments is essentially identical, with one exception. The Arrow is simply another way of stating a current implication of relativity, namely that if 2 bodies are in motion it is impossible to know which is moving and which is stationary, or both with rate adjusted accordingly.

Notes on Mysticism, et al - Part One

Unrelated (?)

I find at times that I must part with relationships that are unproductive over the long haul. Its like having a girlfriend who will never have sex; that relationship is just not useful.

A basic pre-oratoty concerning Mysticism

If there is a roll for the shepherd it is to raise the sheep to strength, then eat them. Let's be honest here. The Wolf is infinitely more trustworthy than the Shepherd - his intent is known.

There is a single consistent recurring error among Islam, Christianity and Judaism - the three Monolithic gods of the West share a common sin. Their books have failed the same test.

The Koran, The Hebrew Bible, and The Christian Greek Scriptures have all failed to lead the great majority of their adherents to any real theory of Reality. The real Genius of all these books has nothing to do with covenants, salvation, or submission.

The 3 are a series of Mystic records of many people sharing a common element of Faith in the insubstantiable. SO, their value must be beyond the scope of mere factuality.

For instance - The Bible in summary as a book of fact:

Pt1. The old testament writers bastardize Tetragrammaton to a masculanized tyrant. Moses and the prophets add threats and promises.

Pt2. Jesus was a 33 year old virgin... then he died. The apostles add more bribes and threats.

The End.

See also "Atonement Part 1" (Omne inferius secit superius)

Their failure is evidenced by the fact that their adherents do not possess an understanding of Basic theories of the Universe. (A separate but villifying common link between them is discussed in Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling)

Know Your Enemy

Civil Service

America will never reform until politicians are paid based on the average income of their constituents.

That means the local mayor makes about 30G/year and the President makes about 46G.

Anything beyond that is Reason enough for Revolt.

Once upon a time...

...America was not so much about politics as it was about Revolt.
...America was great when the people would carnally Fight their enemies both home and abroad.

As America continues to expend itself in international trivialites, but refuses to Fight the real enemy within its midst, At Home, it will continue to lose its greatness as a world power, as a financial enterprise for its citizens, and as a Home of Liberty.

The greatest threat to the continuance of America is The Federal Reserve, a private banking system that lends currency to the U.S. government on Interest, which interest is paid back by still further loans from the Federal Reserve. This is circular reason in action, and the root of current American diplomacy (used loosely) both Home and Abroad, and also the root of American financial slavery. Since the creation of the Fed in the early 20th century the rise of inflation and the decrease in the value of the American dollar have reflected oneanother conversely.

So what are you gonna do about it?

Atonement Part II

Atonement, now let's be honest. And to be honest we must assume nothing in a situation.

I don't waste my time getting into reference, because I intend to appeal to literate persons.

Atonement as a concept overlaps identity with terms such as Righteousness, Justice, Rectification, etc., but simply stated as Equilibrium. Paricularly it is identified with Atu VIII, and in differing way 2 of Discs. To some degree it could be associated with Tiphareth, as well as being a permeating and fundamental characteristic of the Tree of Life (see Atus VI and XIV).

"Blood is the rose of mysterious Union."
- James Douglas Morrison

Equilibrium, atonement, is the Whole of the I Ching as similarly expressed by The Court cards [(4x2)2 = (4x4)22].

In Sonic Mysticism Atonement is evidenced by Sympathetic Vibration [See 9/3/08]. In this application it is easy to see how Atonement naturally leads to Philia which in turn leads to Koinonia* (caveat emptor! here Equilibrium is often a balance of "Enslavement"/ "Power", "Freedom"/ "Powerlessness", Authority"/ "Submission", etc.).

Atonement is the Sexual Union of Shiva and Sati, as well as the intermingling of Yin and Yang in the Tai Chi Tu.

In the vulgar sense Atonement amounts to the paying of Price to compensate, satiate anger, propitiate, but in a larger and correct sense it is 1) anything sacrificed to annihilation with its compliment and 2) dharmically, Atonement leads to and is Union with God, even as that implies Union with Self, even as Yoga is both route and goal.

In response to myself, to my previous entry on the subject of Atonement, See Liber ABA Parts 1 & 2, also Part 3 Chapter 0.

"This is the true Magickal Doctrine of Thelema: Zero equals Two."
- The Book of Thoth

* Koinonia - Refer to Atu XII regarding the long history of pre-Christian ceremonial atonements and their deities, which is to say, Horus'/ Jesus' death is not merely solar, but more importantly the evolution of Man as the creation of Man according to his own Great Image by specific means (
See 8/03/08).

Atonement Part I

"Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection."

- James Douglas Morrison

Human beings are driven by emotion, not reason; Mainly because we are not initially educated to Reason. Thank God that my own love of ART caused me to cross boundaries that The Church could not tolerate else I may have been cursed with the blight of faith. Thank God that the Church cannot embrace and tolerate The Mind. Praise Man. Exalt Man and His number.

When Christians attempt to reconcile the Hebrew God with a God of Love, they express the conflict between their own Good Hearts and their fears regarding a hateful, spiteful god who would never have accepted them (the god of Ezra and Nehemiah said to divorce wives and abandon children who were not of Jewish origin). The account of The Book testifies to this. Jehovah was a racist, a homophobe, a genocidal apparition (e.g. Book of Joshua). Why would you WANT reconcilliation with such a nightmarish Evil?

The 'new christianities', the ones I like, the one's that have emerged form some admittedly 'hipster' minds, that attempt to create a modern social identity within the framework of The Book express conflicted Human Identity; liberalness, acceptance, what-have-you; but The Book promises that The Lord Jesus will KILL all those who disagree with his morality, that do no have faith in the fables, etc (John's Apocalypse). For instance, the fadish christian catch-phrases of 'embrace' and 'inclusion' towards homosexuals is counter to The Book; the god of Leviticus says to kill homosexuals. The god of Paul says that they will not inherit God's Kingdom and to not keep their company (1 Corinthians). And in similar manner Paul's god will wipe out those who 'do not have faith in the gospel' (2 Thessalonians). So, the new christianities' attempts to reconcile tolerant behavior with The Book simply underscore that the book does not jive up with the true feelings of many who still want the Salvation promised to them (evidence that Christian upbringing is in fact a form of mental child abuse). Perhaps its time to admit what you reluctantly realize already - you have outgrown The Book.

I'm going to give you a simple shortcut to truth that I realized a long time ago:

When you have a standard claiming Absolute Truth (such as the Bible), and the Preacherman says something contrary to it, then either the book or the preacherman are bullshitting you, and probably both.

But this is just business as usual for the monotheistic religions of the West. You don't need religions based on lies. Good does not come from such deception. And at the end of the day the entire facade persists because fear and intimidation are being used against you. But I have gotten into all of this before - Fear and Desire: Read the Gita, please...

Of course I expect many Christians to be angry that I would dare speak against either their god, their teachings, or their book; in fact I speak against them all. Its simple, I'm used to that type of treatment from Christianity for speaking my mind. I expect it, its called scapegoating - rather than accept that blame falls on the book, on the ministers, on the teachings, when in fact the claims I make regarding them and their incongruity are easily demonstrated from the content of The Book itself, I get the blame. Any honest observation gets the blame.

Why am I not surprised; because scapegoating is part and parcel to the Christian system. It is the single most glaring link between Judaism and Christianity; a fact that the Jewish believers must certainly despise. Or have you never heard of the Goat for Azazel (Leviticus) offered on Atonement Day - The Scapegoat!

So, in short, I reject the notion of Atonement, of ransom, of any other refusal to accept one's own actions. The entire idea of Adamic sin, of Temple Sacrifice, of Jesus' Atonement, all of these are vestiges of a persistent emotional immaturity. They simply express "someone else is to blame for my actions" - infantile stupidity. What kind of god calls any of this Justice? Poor Adam. Poor Adam's children. Poor Jesus. They have all been Scapegoated! I reject all of it and the implications.

Sin Atonement theologies appear to be a sickness. They are symptomatic of emotional immaturity, childish at best, and pathological at their worst. At any level, Atonement mental disease continues to hold Mankind from the mature state of accepting responsibility, of accepting One's own Divinity which alone leads to responsible interaction in the world around us.

Afterword

My own personal quams are simple: the bible and its proponents would discourage the study of 'the occult' (the unknown), the book itself promises that 'divination' will get you "cast into the lake of fire", Paul speaks against Philosophy... ultimatley all of this fear is aimed at discouraging humans from the development of The Mind; at the same time we're expected to simply believe the most unfounded fantastic mythologies as if they are Fact and History. Hmmm...

But most aggravating is the fact that there is always someone at the top of the food chain benefitting from the lies. In the new christianities there still exists among the cries against oppression and intolerance someone making a living off of the ever-growing heap of bullshit; voices feeling that they need to be heard, but we don't need more lies simply mixed with intermingling social reform. If the ministers of the new christianities were really being honest about their situation they would have to admit that they also have outgrown The Book. But where would the profit be in that? And "there's the rub".

The opportunity to take a pre-existing fraternal system, often aimed at legitimate social works, and refine it into a forum for building up the Minds of its members is on one hand a very practical opportunity to assist the Christian structure along its evolution into a true Yogic endeavor - A Magickal Operation that results in Union, not only between its human members, but with the Whole, both individually and as a group. And since ultimately "Truth is beyond language" (Crowley) of all sorts, because "The Tao that can be spoken of is [never] the eternal Tao" (Lao Tzu), because all lingual constructs are in part Lies (Nietzsche), and perhaps even more importantly because Dharma is individual, because Absolute morality is silly, I have every reason to believe that for some people Christianity IS the right thing to do, I at times sympathize and support the operations of some of these 'new christianities' even though I have to wonder this:

To what degree can a thing work contrary to its own Standard and still maintain its Identity?

In other words, when Christianity is at its most beautiful, liberal, useful, and truthful, is it still Christianity? Can a form of religion that welcomes homosexuals, as an example, really be christian, in light of the above references (which are by no means exhaustive of the case examples)? The answer is that much depends upon Definitions.

How do you define Christianity? And for that matter How do you define the identity of Christ? If all words are false, and indeed they are on a particular level, then how do we define God's Word? How do we define brotherhood, religion, faith, atonement?! Indeed, how do we define ANYTHING?

The answer is implied in the preceding paragraph. Did you catch it?

I'll answer it next, at my leisure, but I will address it as my next entry.

Now here's something to think about in the mean time, in the modern era (the last hundred years or so) many people have left off formal 'christian' systems in favor of various systems that properly fall under the heading of Magick; e.g. The Golden Dawn, O.T.O, AA,... more-or-less fraternal Systems that incorporate various Holy Books, various Paths, and various Methods toward Union, toward Evolution. They have left here-to-fore traditional systems and taken their previous Holy Books right along with them, including The Bible, and made much greater application of them than previously forseeable. Again, this is related to my next intended writing here on Ashheap.com

Some Books I Personally Endorse
OR
Caveat Emptor

If you really want to know about Crowley's system of Magick, then why don't you go read Crowley? Just buy the genuine Crowley stuff (as opposed to some of the modern trash by proported modern Masters in some fraternities).

My recommendations, in order:

- Start with Book 4 Parts 1 and 2 you'll do quite well. Practice what you read in Part 1. Then get into Magick in Theory in Practice.

- Certainly get a copy of The Book of Thoth and a Thoth Tarot deck. Get in the habit of laying out the deck in a Sephiroth and studing the layout in conjunction with The Book of Thoth.

- Obtain a copy of Gems From the Equinox (selected by Israel Regardie) which will include Liber Al vel Legis (The Book of the Law).

Also apply yourself to the instructions at the end of Theory and Practice and also those in Gems. Be patient. And don't feel that you must follow anyone else's particular curriculum or schedule (as if others could possibly tell you about your own unique position of Space/Time). In regard to this last point I highly recommend reading Liber E vel Exercitorum (found in both Theory and Practice and Gems) and reviewing Liber Collegii Sancti found in Gems.

- Otherwise make good use of the internet. Practically the entire catalog of Equinox material can be found relatively quickly. Wikipedia is a great resource for modern students of Magick.

- Also the afore-mentioned Golden Dawn by Israel Regardie is of great value in as much as it offers an alternate wording to much of the material that Aleister Crowley discusses. Dion Fortune's Mystical Qabalah is also good, though her Philosophy is somewhat narrow at times. Still, she is very well-informed, and covers a lot of substantial ground with the proper respect. The Charles Ponce book simply entitle Kabbalah is a real find; purposely historical as opposed to the Fortune book which is purposely Not historical in its intent. I also highly recommend The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee presented by Geoffrey James. Perhaps as useful as any text is the mostly artistic work The Hermetic Museum - Alchemy and Mysticism by Alexander Roob.

On the other hand, there are some books that I see as semi-modern curiosities, but little else. For instance, I detest two books in particular, Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot and The Magick of Aleister Crowley: A Handbook of the Rituals of Thelema by Lon Milo Duquette. Now, I can see why someone would WANT to write commentary on Crowley, because Aleister Crowley is often misrepresented (as well as fascinating), and a little clarification can be helpful, but Duquette just seems in my taste to be a bad Crowley coverband. Unnecessary. The Book of Thoth especially is a book so complete that to actually charge money to the unsuspecting newcomer for one's elaborations on the matter, it is simply corrupt. This same author has also created a DVD series pertaining to the Thoth Tarot which I have absolutely no interest in ever viewing or otherwise fattening a Pharisee's pocket book.

I intend to comment on The Thoth Tarot and the tarot generally as I feel inclined or inspired, but I would never think of you paying me for my meager additions to the subject of Magick generally or my personal understanding of Crowley's works, whereas such profiteering does not seem to bother the conscience of Duquette. But that is all up to you and your own business at the end of the day. And quite honestly I don't doubt that Duquette knows his subject, I simply see his writings which invoke the name of Crowley as ...well, embarassing. And admittedly I just cannot stomach his writing style when compared to the solemnity that I find in Crowley's works. Maybe you'll get something useful from them, but if you have not really expended your resources by reading and meditation and perhaps painful contemplation then you're being lazy, weak. In which case you should return to Book 4 Part 1. A basic study formal logic, Aristotle's Categories, Frank Herbert's Dune series, The Tao Te Ching (Lao Tzu), and The Baghavad Gita would all be very helpful in their own way as well as a Liber ABA Part 3 Chapter 0.

Another book that I can see useful as a curiosity is The Tarot of the Bohemians by Papus. Because it is (according to Crowley purposely) WRONG in the attributions of the Hebrew Letters to the cards, I would not recommend putting too much stock into what contradicts The Book of Thoth, but I think that it is a part of the historical development of modern Magick that should be familiarized (at least the opening hundred or so pages that deal with an interpretation of *Tetragrammaton). In a similar vein, The Magus by Francis Barret is interesting once you move past his preliminary Christian superstitions.

"If one expects one's visions to resemble those of the Master Therion, they are only too likely to do so; and if one's respect for Him induces one to accept such visions as authentic, one is being false to one's soul; the visions themselves will avenge it. The true Guide being gone, the seer will stray into a wilderness of terror where he is tricked and tortured; he will invoke his idol the Master Therion, and fashion in His image a frightful phantasm who will mock him in his misery, until his mind stagger and fall; and, Madness swooping upon his carrion, blast his eyes with the horror of seeing his Master dissolve into that appalling hallucination, the "Vision of THE DEMON CROWLEY!"

- Aleister Crowley, Frater Perdurabo, To Mega Therion; Liber ABA Part 3, Magick in Theory and Practice - APPENDIX III - Notes on the nature of the "Astral Plane"

* Papus also descrobes a type of trinity system from Tetragrammaton which on-one-hand corresponds well to aspects/ operations of The Name itself, but that ultimately intimates subordination of the entire suit of Pantacles (Discs) rather than give them a place of balance that one might ordinarily expect in Western Hermetic Alchemy. This view is not necessarily wrong but is based on an imposed hierarchy funtion upon the Tarot which Crowley similarly refers to by describing Pantacles and Princesses as transitionary. This is all fine for some things, while the obvious Elemental funtion of the system also implies at least 3 alternate applications of similar magnitude but differing quality.

Lesson #4 in the Study of Divination

The Art of Divination is and has always been, in all of its forms, aimed at one goal: the training of the mind. In terms of The Tarot it can be described as the scheming Magus training the intuitive Fool. It is similar to the martial arts training toward satori. It is also Mastery and Beasthood - eventuating in A Beast which guards its Master. Nothing is more trustworthy than well-trained instincts. But that requires hard work, and exercise.

A Commentary Regarding Elements of Mind

Stupidity is not merely intellectual; it is often the result of emotional misunderstanding. Understanding however is not void of emotion. This is not remotely an original thought.

However, this is:

Information has a relationship with understanding, but as a component. We learn "material", which is NOT particularly intellectual. It is the dissection and marriage of materials which are intellectual modes of mind.

4/7/11 Entry 2
Kelkerian Ethics

"I whole-heartedly endorse the use of the internet, by all responsible citizens, as a means of recording injustice and abuse by those in power of any sort, and to report the violation of human rights, as an avenue of active civic participation."

- Jeremy Kelker

"If consequences dictate a course of action then it doesn't matter what's right; it's only wrong if you get caught."

- "Maynard" James Keenan, TOOL, Jerk-0ff

Negligence and Malice

According to the Law of Moses negligence was punishable by death if the negligent act itself resulted in death. For instance, two men struggle and a by-stander is killed; the punishment to the men who allowed their struggle to cause the death of an uninvolved party could be death. In another situation, the builder of a home is careless that his construction does not provide certain customary safety measures, a guest dies by falling off of the upstairs balcony; in this case the home owner could be executed for his negligence.

In these and other similar cases, the opportunity existed for the next-of-kin (The Avenger of Blood) to seek vengeance upon the offending party. The guilty could flee to a "city of refuge" and once there The Avenger could not lawfully take vengeance; but along that long, treacherous, and uncertain road to refuge your life was on the fuckin' line baby!

Most importantly, in fact the heart of the matter, The Principle, is that negligence and malice stemmed from the same source. Their intentionality was actually of little consideration, except that you had to Prove your worth and survive flight. The underlying source of negligence, of slopiness, of laziness, of sloth, a general lack of consideration for others. Selfishness. And at bottom a lack of self-respect.

The Good

"What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."

- "Genghis" Temujin, The Great Khan - Ruler of all men

Civilized people are too often corrupted by the belief that they can behave offensively and that the law will protect them and ensure that they are never accountable.

I am not a civilized man.

Patriotism is not the product of laws, but rather the opposite. The laws of civilized men are arbitrary and inferior to the conduct of a person who has trained their intuitions. How else could good or just laws proceed, if not from the fact that the lawmakers themselves must aspire greatly and demand much of themselves?

What is best in any life? To realize one's Self according to one's own chosen evolutionary destiny.

And what is Self? Atman - the Self - is perfect, immortal, and incorruptible.

The Self is realized through interaction with it, training, the intentional honing of inter-cellular consciousness. Yoga is a key. And in this pursuit, external rules are not the point. In fact, one eventually faces the Abyss of uncertainty to realize that ALL external laws are inferior to the conduct of The Self.

Some people create rules about what should be a Yogi's conduct, but they fail to understand Dharma. For instance, gluttony is generally not optimum for much of anything, as is not starvation, generally. But to claim that a yogi must be a vegetarian is to ignore the fact that Lord Krishna himself was Kshatriya. All Dharma is not alike - it is subjective on one particular plane.

The range of great evolutionary specimens, according to available data, includes not primarily the austere, but the moderate.

Ultimately, anyone can read for themselves, here on this open, public disclosure of my own thoughts, analysis, theory, experimentation, and creation, that I am in fact Barbaric. That there is no limit how far I would go to defend the Freedom of the Human Spirit, my own ability to live and to love, and most importantly for others to evolve according to their own Dharma. I viciously defend my right, and the right of others, to individual thought, and I consistently attempt to instigate others to also do so.

Good Cop Bad Cop (and family)
...Anyone remember Crime Stoppers?

My fiance's father died when she was in high school.

Shortly before her father's death she was befriended by Joe A------ (a now retired police officer in Fort Wayne, Indiana) and his family.

She considers certain members of this family to be as her family. They are very 'christian', according to their on recension. My girl friend is like myself All Things. They can't comprehend it. Its just evil to them, much like the illiterate critics of Nietzsche that do not understand that to move Beyond good and evil does not imply that one has latched onto "evil", but that one has ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY for one's own actions and will not hide behind the decay and corruption of an external moral system.

Around Christmas 2010 the A------ family decided to rescind an invitation for myself and my woman for some sort of holiday awkwardness, realizing that the two of us were probably not going to sit gawkingly in front of a TV getting fat and occassionally praising Jesus on cue. About this same time Jan A------ decided to give my fiance criticism for actually studying religion in a non-Christian college, commenting on her salvation, the evils of yoga, and other mind-manipulative stupidity. Of course, my awesome GF was more sorry for the person than offended.

A couple of weeks ago some relative of that family, mind you NONE of them are in reality actually related to either of us, but some relative of theirs by the name of Doyle decided to berate my fiance on Facebook, where she often shares her thoughts on politics and religion, or whatever. Her basic comment was regarding the U.S., "at some point the schoolyard bully is going to get laid flat by those it has dominated for far too long." SO Doyle, in his confusion of Christianity with Amurican Patriotism proceeded to 1) inform The GF that someone in her life had brought her under the influence of Satan (and whom may that be I wonder?), and 2) that she was an "egghead" for criticizing America, then proceeded from insulting her intelligence, no less on emotional grounds (pathetic), to various ramblings about Jesus and Amurica, etc.

Now, don't get me wrong, for someone to attempt to insult me by calling me Satan, or to imply that I am some kind of devil, I laugh at. For the devil has always been simply the god of one's own enemies (thank you Aleister), and have I not infact referred to myself as The American Devil? How could I care if some religious fanatic wants to say stupid things?

These are the reasons:

- My Finace' and I are a Religion unto ourselves, and anyone attacking it will be dealt with accordingly.

- People who are not family and use the basic classic cult technique of calling themselves "family" (see Charles Manson) to interfere with the evolution of Me and Mine are really deserving of the pain of dealing with me.

- A people or family or organization that harasses my Girlfriend will have to deal, legally if necessary, with the foremost expert in the Philosophy of Religion himself...

- When extended family of a family that is not actually Our family is putting his nose where it does not belong, this is harassment. I will protect my own famly viciously because this is the Supernal Law, as any man of worth will attest.

- My public written record of myself stands as a testimonial and warning to anyone who would attempt to impede the Freedom of my WIll. Anyone crossing the line of my ethics cannot claim that they have not been warned.

- My own sense of justice is loftier than the laws of a nation, and accordingly retain primacy in matters pertaining to the freedom, well-being, and happiness of my own people, but also that of strangers.

Back to the story, this Doyle character was warned thus: "You are not family. If you interfere with ------'s and my relationship I will bash your brains in." A straightforward, clear, unambiguous warning. Now, just how is that not a courtesy on my own part?

So, this douchebag (mind you I don't even know the person's last name, we have never met, and realistically never will) went running and pouting to the reired police patriarch of this family, Joe A------. And I take it that my warning was filed with the Wells County police department. Good. In fact I asked him "PLEASE" to do so. I WANT a public record of the warning.

Finally, yesterday, Joe A------, thinking himself rather a big man, pays a visit to my Mother-in-law (FAMILY), a widow, after not visiting for several months. He apparently tried to convince her that my GF and I are somehow affiliated with Wicca (a compliment!) and The Devil, and in a rather one-sided explanation told my Mother-in-law that I had threatened this Doyle character.

In my opinion it is quite pusillanimous to bother a person with such stupidity just to attempt to make yourself feel better, to justify the actions of your own family rather than put the foot down, and to generally take away the peace of another person rather than simply know your place in this world.

And to be quite honest, these simpletons are just not equipped to contend with me on any level.

There is not a single statement here written that cannot be verified by witnesses. Such behavior is persecutive, harassing, and includes MANY symptoms of the classic documented techniques of dangerous cults and otherwise fanatical oppressive religious and human rights violators.

Care to challenge me in a court of law? I'll tear you and your religion to shreds publicly and humiliatingly. Or have you never read Ashheap.com?

Regarding Theology - Dedicated to Phil Schutger

"Foolish men talk of religion in cheap, sentimental words, leaning on the scriptures: 'God speaks here, and here alone'."

- Lord Krishna

The Great Work: "Let us make man in our image."

Initial statements

"Obviously, The Gita, if one should ever actually read it, is beyond the intent of western monotheistic theolgy: it focuses on liberation from the systems of others in the quest for God, not loyalty to The Church (as if 'it' were some united front).

"Theology vs Yoga?...Externally originating belief rather than hard-earned, internalized knowledge.

"Theology was born of Jews ignorant of their own Hellenistic* parentage, perfected a century and a half ago by a couple of Germans, and surpassed in the the early 1900s by Englishmen and Women capable of Great Work.

"'Man is the true God. In Man are all things hidden.' "

A Comical Response

"WHAT? that's some anti-semitic bullshit kelker, give me a fucking break. You obviously know very little about the depth of the jewish Kabbalistic traditions of the last 2000 years. You really think Crowley could hold a candle to Isaac Luria, Abraham Abulafia, or Maimonides? I can shoot heroin and pretend to be illumined as well!"

My Immediate Rebuttal

"No its not Schutger and in fact it occurred to me at the gym that you specifically would throw out such a view - according to sentiment.

"That being the case, as I could see the trajectory, I have thought out the problem and the conclusion is correct. I will explain at my leisure - in steps that anyone can follow.

"As for the Pharisaic appeal to authority, I really oversetimated your trench capacities; disappointing. Be that as it may...

"Step 1) definition. Specifically 'ignorance' which I anticipated you would take to mean something limited in its scope.

"Define, please, 'ignorance'. And then, apply it in the phrase 'ignorant of their own hellenistic parentage', 'parentage', obviously being a metaphor.

"If, however, you are not interested in doing that, I will simply write about it on Ashheap.com, which I intend to do anyway, at my own leisure. But I'm happy, at least your confronting something."

Exposition

The egg and semen of theology was blending at least by the time of Ezra and Nehemiah (I don't dispute the historicity or authorship of the Hebrew writings, because it is simply unimportant) - those leaders "expounded on the words of Jehovah" and "put meaning into it", and otherwise applied the Law to changing circumstances through Reason.

Moreover, Paul (a trained Pharisee) applied the specific methods of Aristotle and Plato to his own expositioins of the Jewish Law, as well as intentional usage of gnostic language (a true child of the hellenistic spirit!), but he was never quite sure where he stood on the issue. THAT is the specific ignorance that I am discussing: "What is it and how do I work it?" Like many people with 'religions', he did not know HOW TO OPERATE IT!

If Hegel is as Karl Marx claims, and I agree, the last great theologian, then certainly Nietzsche was the last great Stump Preacher.

Soon, in fact immediately following the peak of the German Philosophers, and largely due to their work, mystic systems began to rise from 'the underground' (as they have done sporadically throughout Christendom's empire), but in the age of enlightenment their persecution through church-politicking was no longer a real threat - Afterall, the Church was founded on the blood of heretics, this is historically indisputable.

The Englishmen and Women of whom I am speaking are first The Golden Dawn, which owes much to early theosophy, at least in initiative, but because the Dawn had become corrupt in neglecting iniation as the prerequisite, it begged to be dismantled.

Noone who has actually read Crowley would claim him to be anti-Semitic, as would noone who ever read Ashheap.com claim that writer to be so. But when one has assimilated a thing one has every right to be critical of it - that is is fact a necessary component of what is typically called 'love'.

Finally, whether Judaism is the root of Western monotheistic theology, again historically indisputable. Both Christianity and Islam admit readily to be children of Abraham.

*Hellenistic - Hellenism is often mistaken as simply the spread of Greek culture. In fact, the aim of Alexander's Hellenism is the clashing of Greek culture with EVERYTHING! And in the wake of these clashes everyone assimilates eachother's processes - New things are born, our understanding widens, mental growth inevitably follows confrontation, eventually giving rise to a Super-culture, not of beliefs, but of possibilities and alternate modes of mind. The entire process is perhaps best compared to musical harmony, both dissonant and assonant, waves clashing against one another, perfecting themselves through cancellations and reinforcements.

Divination Part 4: Pendulum/ Dousing

The Principle of Conduit

The practitioner of divination assumes a great responsibility. He accepts that his actions are not solely his own, but that each nuance of gesture is the Universal Mind channelling through him as a Conduit. The resulting signs or omens, the movement of planchette, the drawing of card, or the formation of stalks is no accident, but an exact parallel, a summary, of the moment at hand, the question posed, and the answer that must suffice.

Therefore to repeat the question, to expect that from one moment to the next that one can in effect repeat the experiment, assumes that the universe is at a stand still. At times, one must return to the basics, to book work, to studying one's charts, to recalibrating the entire system acording to some new point on the map of our understanding. And the one who does so with diligence will succeed.

An Essay on the Pendulum, Its Theory and Practical Use as Dousing Instrument
by Alejandro Neri1

Among the many things to be used for divination is the pendulum. The design for this tool is utterly simple: a weight on the end of a length of cord. Now personal preferences from this point do exist, but effective is a well-balanced weight secured to the end of a chain or string so as not to spin or otherwise move about unnecessarily.

The simple design fools many, and it actually can deter many diviners who hold them selves as above such an instrument; however, ts easy-to-use, easy-to-interpret structure is where its strengths lie. The method is to hold the pendulum cord in one hand, between the index finger and thumb, letting the weight dangle down. Then the weight is stabilized by stopping its unnecessary movement. At this point, the diviner will set a standard for interpretations; he asks the pendulum to swing for "yes", for "no". and for "I do not wish to tell you." Methods vary and people throw in "I do not know the answer," etc. He then records the way the weight swings, be it clockwise in a circle, left to right, or any number of possibilities.

Having set the standard, the user can then begin to ask questions. Testing is important to ensure that the answers are reliable. Asking "Is my name Martha?" or "Did the sun rise today?" are good ways to do this. This manner of divination is uncomplicated. Not messy. Very useful for developing or strengthening the connection between the body and the conscious, and subconscious/unconscious mind.

Here is the theory behind how the instrument works from a basically scientific2 perspective. The mind is essentially using micro-movements of muscles in the hand to communicate with the diviner. Now certain questions are require deeper connections. Basic questions should be used first, until the practitioner can establish and maintain a level of connectedness with whichever level of the mind is being called upon. So questions with answers that are already known to the user can be used to set any necessary calibrations.

Deeper questions require deeper connections. The tool reaches into the subconscious mind of a person to answer questions that he has already experienced the answer to. So, a student who has studied a subject and decides to use the pendulum on a test is reaching into his subconscious mind3. The mind never forgets, it just doesn't always remember when it would be most convenient to us. With this momentary connection, many things can be revealed. Including, with experience, the location of lost car keys, etc. For that example the pendulum is used as a dousing tool, taking advantage of the connection with the subconscious to cause the pendulum to point towards a physical location rather than to swing for answers.

Delving into the unconscious can be dangerous to the [untrained] conscious mind4. The unconscious is in essence the mind of man as a whole. It is the reason people who have never been in communication with each other can come up with the same seemingly original idea. It is the power behind the most difficult questions the pendulum can answer5. This is how the pendulum can answer questions that the diviner has never had any experience in. It draws on the knowledge of man as a whole rather than an individual6.

It was mentioned earlier that delving into the unconscious can be dangerous to the conscious mind. This is because the unconscious mind is least individual, most universal. The pendulum as both a tool and a trainer has, like any system, a distinct purpose, weaknesses, and strengths. The answers received are to be used with the discernment of a sound and healthy mind, putting all responsibility on whoever acts on the information they gain from their interpretation. But do not write off the practicality of this portable, inexpensive, replaceable, and easy-to-read divination medium.

1 - This essay by Mr. Neri is the first contributed piece in the history of Ashheap.com.
2 - The use of the term scientific was my own editor's privilege.
3 - Whether the intelligence with which the diviner makes contact is internal or external is ultimately irrelevant and indistinguishable. Suggested: Carl G. Jung, Archetypes and the Uncollective Conscious.
4 - The reference [untrained] is my own, and meant to distinguish that purposely training the unconscious/subconscious faculties is not only possible, but in fact a primary evolutionary function from the current state of Man. In fact, warning in matters of divination tend to cause much more harm than good. On the other hand, training and education, discipline, are key to any undertaking.
5 - This statement is debatable at first glance if one were to assert that perhaps The Intelligence contacted is infact external. But the moment we recognize that the diviner must be a suitable receptacle regardless, to either internal or external revelation, the entire debate becomes moot. We are not fearful or disrespectful in light of either situation, but gracious: we are dealing with associates.
6 - Or the Universal Mind as opposed to soley the Collective Consciousness of man - though they may be indistinguishable, and in fact indistinguishable from the mind of the individual - Atman.

Lent, In Blood and Tears

"It must be remembered that as the whole essence of the will is its one-pointedness."
- Liber ABA, Part 2 - CHAPTER VI, Aleister Crowley (Frater Perdurabo) - To Mega Therion

"No Discipline is experienced as pleasure but it is grievous. Yet afterwards it yields the intended results."
- Hebrews Chapter 12, St. Paul

There are few occassions that I feel especially inclined to discuss Christianity with the degree of solemnity with which I consider the Season of Lent.

Lent is the name for the spring season according to the Christian Liturgical calender - a work intentionally of alchemic significance. Though often identified with the time frame leading to the execution of Jesus and his subsequent resurrection, this is but manifest material; the latent content is the real heart of the matter.

Sources agree with the Online Etyology Dictionary concerning the term Lent "short for Lenten, from O.E. lencten 'spring,' the season, from W.Gmc. langa-tinaz (cf. O.S. lentin, M.Du. lenten, O.H.G. lengizin manoth), from lanngaz (root of O.E. lang 'long') + tina-, a root meaning 'day' (cf. Goth. sin-teins 'daily'), cognate with O.C.S. dini, Lith. diena, L. dies 'day.' the compound probably refers to the increasing daylight. Church sense of 'period between Ash Wednesday and Easter' is peculiar to Eng."

A lengthy account is found at The Catholic Encyclopedia online.

Many people have reduced the intent of the season to Death and Resurrection concerns, but miss the central them of the drama itself - the real meat of the issue, and thus gain little from the performance of ritual. As I have stated, and as I maintain, the Christian system of Magick loses its potency in the fact that its adherents have little understanding of how to operate the religion itself. Rather, they 'serve' it, when the true nature of religion is and always has been to serve Man.

"Now this is an important formula. It is the First of the Formulae, in a sense, for it is the formula of Renunciation. It is also the Last!... every 'saint' or magician must give the last drop of his life's blood to that cup."
- Liber ABA, Part 3 - CHAPTER VII, Aleister Crowley (Frater Perdurabo) - To Mega Therion

"If it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
- The Gospel of St. Matthew

In short, the season is about Discipline! Throughout the months leading to execution The Yogi focused his Will toward the greatest of discipline. Focused. Intentional. Lent is not simply about 'giving things up'. WHY do people give things up? Sacrifice? And what is sacrifice?

Sacrifice is not altruistic.

St. Paul claims that it was "For the joy that was set before him" that Jesus accepted his dharma. It was for the greatest gain!

Likewise, one may choose not to simply 'give up' some thing for Lent, which of itself has little or nothing to do with anything. Without intention the 'offering' is little but superficiality, possessing no value and obtaining no 'favor'. The purpose, the real meaning of Lent, is Discipline. And it is for this reason that one becomes a disciple, not because discipline is a biproduct, but the goal. The discipline itself is for the gain of Union with The Eternal. The purpose of ceremony is the uniting of the Will.

The specific nature of the operation known as Lent, the ordeal, is the matter of The Vow.

"It is astonishing that this typical cry - 'I am I' - is the cry of that which above all is not I. It was that Master whose Will was so powerful that at its lightest expression the deaf heard, and the dumb spake, lepers were cleansed and the dead arose to life, that Master and no other who at the supreme moment of his agony could cry, 'Not my Will, but Thine, be done.' "
- Liber ABA, Part 2 - CHAPTER VI THE WAND, Aleister Crowley (Frater Perdurabo) - To Mega Therion

"It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay."
- King Solomon Ben-David (Lemuel)

Each year, as Man awakens from his endurance through the air of Winter, as he gains activity from hibernation, as he sets out to mate and to breed, and to prepare for the cultivation of soil, as he partakes in the rituals of rebirth that are bound in the naturer of Spring, The Master recognizes the opportunity to spiral outward through new levels of discipline. Renunciation is vague. For instance, some religious regimes would have us believe that our obstaining from meat during Lent is somehow a service to God, of some innate value aside from purpose. For many people, to gain the discipline of moderation in eating genearlly, as acquiring a new level of general discipline, would be much more beneficial thatn the superficial observarion of typical Lenten 'vegetarianism'.

It is just as possible, and because it requires more than blind obedience to formality it is often more likely, that acquisition, addition, or grafting is just as powerful to the individual, just as beneficial, just as much a sacrifice, as abstinence. As an example, One awakens to the potential of Spring to encorporate some new discipline to his body of Self-knowledge. The aspirant undertakes strenuous ordeals of physical discipline and bodily training. In this case the nature of the vow itself may necessittae or imply the ingestion of animal flesh. I know of one individual who's undertaking of such a vow each spring includes a steady diet of pork, so that the overall ordeal is essentially Spartan by nature. Such disciplines are often more grueling, and as a consequence much more powerful, the results much longer lasting, the knowledge of self much more enduring.

By the same token fasting and other restrictions can be powerful tools toward Self-Knowledge. It is not abstinence that is in question, but efficacy. And the efficacy is bound up in intent, obedience, Discipline. And annually as one continues to graft to one's self new levels and areas of discipline, that one becomes more refined, gains greater knowledge of Self, becomes more perfect. The underlying nature of the operation of Lent is Discipline, and in this it is a most intentionally Yogic operation.

Concerning the making of Vows, blood should be involved; the blood of the Magus himself. The reasons will become evident upon application.

Divination Part 3: Concerning Number - At long last!
(From The Beginning)

"The Tao begot one. One begot two. Two begot three. And three begot the ten thousand things."
- Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching (The Book of the Way and Its Power), Chapter 42

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters.
And God said: Be light made. And light was made.
And God saw the light that it was good; and he divided the light from the darkness.
And he called the light Day, and the darkness Night; and there was evening and morning one day."

- Douay-Rheims Bible

Decimal systems present a numerical progression wherein each 10th step brings the traveler back to Zero, but of a different magnitude, on a different scale. Within this travel, as in the case of the Sephira, we eventuate a conclusion that is simultaneously Destruction and Creation, depending on the vantagepoint. Also implied is the spiral nature of our growth, the fractal nature of our lens - one whose magnification can be focused to either greater or lesser levels to a theoretically infinite degree of regress/progress. Ouroborus.

There is present at 0/1, or 10/11, both Big Crunch and Big Bang. This is not limited only to linear application. For, like the Path of the Shaman, the traveler of Number has learned that he is moving upon a spiral net - Growth.

Spirally - The united Mind of Vishnu, an apllication of the Tai Chi Tu.

Linearily - The dual mechanics of Shiva, also an application of the Tai Chi Tu.

In both cases we find negation - The void of Brahma, also an application of the Tai Chi Tu.

The relationships implied by these symbols are universal among quaternary systems. This modest list was written spontaneously; if it were within the scope of its intent it could easily be expanded to sytems based in various multiples of 4, perhaps most noteably those based in 12, binary systems, and the I-Ching. But it is not intended to be esteemed as any more extensive than it is. In other words, it is rudimentary - there is much to be learnt.

Pharmakia

It is strange that so many 'leaders' in Christianity, and that the Bible itself, condemn 'the practice of spiritism'.

Now, I know well and good that the key phrase that most people site form Thee Bie-able as meaning 'the practice of spiritism' is actually a reference to the use of drugs to induce trance. This on its own is pretty pathetic to me, as The Vedas themselves were written under the influence of Soma, and my own adventures with marijuana have lead me to ASCs that I reckon must be terribly close to those that lead to the holy writings of India; Salvia seems to be much more closely tied to individual will and the trajectory of dharma (See: "Salvia Awakening Ritual") - a real Shamanic device, and Psyllocibin has taken me to great depths, heavy, and terrible but none-the-less leading to the construction of my basic understanding of the mechanics of things (See Liber ABA, Part 2 - The Pantancle). All in all, I highly endorse the legalization of 4 naturally occurring substances for pure spiritistic/religious/transcendental endeavors: Marijuana, Opium (undisputably the greatest incense ever manufactured), Psyllocibin Mushrooms, and Salvia Divinorum. I have also been given the 'heads up' on the use of absinthe in cases of those who are toxically allergic to certain natural sources, but I really don't care about alcohol one way or the other, and what some people think of as toxic is often in fact only a matter of sensible dosage. Admittedly, most people can't even eat moderately in the U.S., so it doesn't surprise me that people have such a backwards view of physical training, nutrition, politics, religion, science, and above all the training of the mind.

Spiritism

Having made my stand clear as regards pharmakia (Druggery, Practice of Spiritism, Wizardry, Sorcery) I would like to get down to the matter of The Bible itself. What exactly is 'spiritism'? Well, obviously it is the contact with spirits. John 4:24 tells us that "God is a spirit". The Bible claims to be, and Christians claim it to be, 'The Word of God'. So, logically, reading The Bible is itself a form of spiritism. The Bible is a divinatory reference manual, and none of your excuses or attempts of exemption make one bit of difference.

I mean think of it. If, hypothetically, one (say... Aleister Crowley) were to have dictated to himself (say through a human medium) a message from another realm by a spirit (say Aiwaz) and this book (say, for the sake of argument "The Book of the Law" - Liber Al vel Legis) became published and distributed, we would consider the reading of such a work to be a venture into spiritism. We would consider it a tool of divinatory power. And we would be quite correct in doing so.

Now, do you see the conundrum that the little Christians find themselves in (As I have stated previously, I love them, but they tend to get into so much trouble when left on their own. They're like Hobbits...). Anyway, the Chrisitian condemnation of mysticism and the occult (simply meaning "hidden" or "veiled") is completely hypocritical and self-limiting. Pointless. Outdated. Non-evolutionary. Christians are Spiritists, but they often deal in misleading spirits. The spirit of Papacy, spirit of Augustine, spirit of Luther, the spirit of self-righteous and arrogant pride of one's own ignorance, the spirit of submission, of egoistic self-delusion, of Tamastic inertia, the spirit of Hell and the spirit of Heaven, the spirit of untrained minds, of untrained bodies; not all, but often. And how could it be otherwise, else one would cease to call himself by a name that is merely a name among many, among the larger category of Name, which is never entirely truthful.

...untrained minds are often simply distracted; their attention is stuck on some fascination, an obsession.

Now, finally I would like to say that it makes me smile great big that the majority of Christians that I know who are about typical college age and younger have never read The Bible in its entirety, BUT have made the time to read the entire Harry Potter series (roughly 4000 pages) - multiple times! And I dare say that the Potter series is a much better read.

Blood Line Part 2

The head gasket of my dad's Pontiac 6000 was blown.

This is the same car that about a year later I was destined to back into with my huge Ford LTD the same day that my dad gets it back from the shop for a small collision in a parking lot, crushing the driver's side doors...

So, my dad fixes the car, the one I had stolen one night, run the radiator dry, urinated in, and hobbled back home.

I was never even suspected! Years go by, and I don't ever admit to it.

One day a few years ago my dad and I are out on the old family property where he grew up and he starts telling me this story about stealing his dad's Model A Ford back in the day.

He had learned to sneak his dad's car out at night after everyone went to bed. One night while driving the stolen family car a fire breaks out under the hood. I guess the old straight 6 engines had some shabby electrical work or something, but at any rate the car is on fire.

So, my dad, himself about 16 years old, decides to urinate on the engine of the car to extinguish the fire.

When I asked him if he ever confesses the incident to my grandfather, my dad replied "Hell no. He'd still be giving me hell over it."

Blood Line Part 1

When I was about 16 years old I was in the habit of sneaking my parents car out at night after they went to bed.

One night I snuck the Pontiac 6000 out of the driveway, drove from Huntington to Warren, picked up my girlfriend and stayed out to about 3 in the morning.

Returning home on a single lane county highway the car broke down. Smoke was rolling out from under the hood.

I popped the hood and noticed that my dad had apparently NOT replaced the radiator cap at some point, so I had ran the coolant system dry!

My first reaction, an impulse, was to , um, urinate in the radiator.

You can probably imagine that the scorching heat within the radiator instantly evaporated the fluid back into the air where I stood over the engine. Amazingly stupid, I know that.

I got water from a nearby farmhouse and was lucky enough to get the car back home, where it broke down immediately after parking it in the driveway.

I went to bed, fell asleep, and the next morning my mom had to pick my dad up from the Roanoke area because the car broke down for him on his way to work.

2/3/11 Entry 2
Divination Part 1: Systematic Numerology (Continued)

Ok, I really haven't said anything substantial about numbers OR divination.

Divination - 1. The assumption of The Mind of God. 2. The art and science of obtaining information through supernatural means. 3. To gain foreknowledge through uncanny means. 4. The communication with a Being or Beings other than those of what we assume to be Material Reality. 5. Systems of Divination have included the use of mediums and oracles, speaking to the dead (necromancy), the use of decvices and tools, and construction of trajectory models and inference reasonings such as those common in philosophy, mathematics, and the broad category of thing called 'science'. 6. The development of mind that can alter states of its own consciousness. 7. Communication and/or Communion with Beings which are at least in part something called "Spirit" (spiritism, pharmaki'a, druggery).

What outrageous assumptions.

The most glaring thing about what some religions condemn as 'spiritism' and 'divination', is that if there are spirit beings they exist in 2 sorts: Good and Evil; and, of course, only the Evil would want anything to do with humans.

That's a pretty low estimation of human worth. And so, a key to Enochian concepts is that Man does not serve the Spirits. Neither do the Spirits serve Man. Their Will is United. The Universal Will is One and All share it in common. So, Man and Spirit cooperate. It is a poor Magician who conjures the wrong Spirit for the Work at hand.

Did you catch the utter contradiction?

And what does that lead you to?

To square one, and also to a big Fat ZERO.

What is 0? Tell me about zero.

Nothingness. The Void...

You will never know it or see it, but you may become it.

Is Zero itself Infinity? a mode of it? Is it merely one infinity among many?

What does not exist?

Nothing does not exist.

Simultaneously, we are intellectually aware that Nothing is solid, permanent, unchanging; Nothing but The Cosmos itself! the Mind of Vishnu.

Assuming that there exists Spirits is immaterial. Whether the Intelligences that we find, the planes of consciousness that we rest upon momentarily, whether these things exist as external or as internal realities is irrelevant. What we're doing is training the mind. Xenophobia is a very Christian method of dealing with such situations, infact, almost exclusively.

So what of numbers?

Tell me about 1. I'm totally serious. Train your mind to perform unpleasant thinking processes. We're building intelligence here. Timothy Leary guarantees that it will "make you sexier if you intelligent". So what of it? What about One? ONE?

Lesson #2 in the Study of Divination

Number, Letter, Word

Eventually they become synonymous. Then you're prepared to build a system of thinking. This is the specific intention of the practice known as Meditation.

Divination Part 1: Systematic Numerology

"The vast majority know essentially nothing of their religion, its meaning, its book (s), its conscious and unconscious symbols, the effect it has on their mind, etc., in other words, they don't understand HOW TO OPERATE IT."

- Jeremy Kelker

So, here's my question? Do you really deserve that kind of knowledge? The Keys to the Mysteries?

What would you do with it?

Would you huxter others for $?

Would I?

I will huxter noone, because of the sacred formula of Spirit bound in 0 V and IX, but that is a matter for a later time. Friends need never fool one another, as in the case of an Enemy; rather be their Blessing. But there are also times when one must hermit one's self to accomplish real Work.

Community, solitude, oh the balance! But what of numbers? Isn't that what this is about? The systematic use of numbers as a basis of interpretation, of trajectory, of forecast? The Work of Mind? The One and The Many, their Union, a pure and perfect Substance? Is that it?

Under the Influence of the Moon, Part the Second

This is the work of the Alchemist.

People who cannot perform the operation denounce it as wrong, heretical, whatever... My opinion is that those who cannot perform the operation simply cannot think. And that is a failing of the 'educational, political, and religious authorities'( T. Leary). At the same time, simultaneously, the educational systems create opportunities for one to gain a real education, but rarely does anyone even attempt to communicate what that might mean. Again, Dr. Leary presents the simple solution "Think for Yourself, Question authority."

"Only the ignorant despise education."

Notes on Nietzsche - Concerning the 'Death of God' in Zarathustra
(Unedited from a handful of notes throughout the day)

Here's how it is. People who constantly stumble over ideas that boil down to Analysis and Synthesis have simply not considered the mind itself. In other words they have no experience in Pratyahara. They have not transcended their training, they have not Mastered the mechanics. As Nietezsche has said "it is a poor student that repays his teacher by remaining a student always." References on the subject:

'Think on these things' (Krishnamurti)

'Book 4, Part 1' (Crowley)

On Nietzsche

Friedrich really is not concerned one way or the other whether or not there is an external personal reality. The point is rooted in his consistent position that words are limited in the conveyance of truth; furthermore, the hist...orical monolithic god of the Israelites, transformed in christianity, is just another Idol, suspended and static, Lingual.

Nietzsche also recognizes that all our perceptions are filtered through the Subject, and it is the work of religions to deny that fact, to make our experience generic so that we submit ourselves to those who WANT power over us (in the name ...of God). So, a major aim of somthing like Zarathustra is to motivate people, to develop their own minds rather than be slaves to someone else's mythology and the dim-witted power structures that have resulted from them.

"We want the Overman to live!"

Nietzsche

"To understand a philosopher you must first understand his psychology." - F.W.N.[Summarized]

...Nietzsche's aim is to exist among peers. That is the motive - to elevate his listeners. So, the entire motive IS love, and simultaneously the entire motive is Self.

Footnote: 'Summary' Based on 'Beyond Good and Evil', partcularly "On the Prejudices of Philosophers"

Regarding the accuracy of words, their factuality or 'equativeness', see also: "On Truth and Lying in a Non-Moral Sense" Ibid.

Addendum 2/3/11 Essentially, those who still stumble over and struggle with Nietzsche have simply not Overcome him. They have yet to learn to operate their own mind and cannot assimilate certain patterns of thought. Whether the limit is self-imposed or a matter of deficient intellectual faculties, I cannot say. Its much like the state of Christians who have not learned to assimilate that process, and so they crucify Him anew weekly a'Sunday!

The Principle of Harpocrates

A statement is true - on its own particular plane of thought.

That statement's contradiction is true - on yet another plane.

In simultaneity, their phasing causes cancellation.

Since neither is now true, due to their simultaneity, we must refine our terms.

I have effectively said nothing, because the result of the final operation is Silence - the greatest Hum in all reality.

1) What is Science?

Well, science comes from the Latin scientia which implies knowledge. In my own metaphysics I accept that knowledge and belief are essentially alike in that both are simply statements of one's current limit of understanding. In claiming this I agree with the British occultist Aleister Crowley who stated "Truth is beyond language", and also Lao Tzu who states "The Tao that can be spoken of is not The Eternal Tao". The list goes on; Plato's Republic is an exhaustive demonstration.

There is an Institutional fallacy in our current educational system that Art and Science are separate items, but the faulty premise is that mathematics (the foundation of the so-called 'hard-sciences') is something other than a branch of Philosophical Logic, which Philosophy is called Art by Institutional education. End of the day, I say that Art and Science are not differentiated in a well-developed mind.

Science, in the colloquial sense, is about finding answers through systematic methods. I am aware of 2 primary processes of Science: categorization and experimental methods. Aristotle's body of work is all about categorization, Analysis: species, genus, sub-genus, etc., i.e. the modern outline of I.A.1.a. B.1.a.b.2.a.b., and on and on. In my understanding, computer operations make use of an alteration to this method developed by Leibnitz called binary. The experimental branches involve observation, theorization, test (experiment), checking results, reformulation, and back to the drawing board. There are many places where these 2 scientific systems meet; anatomy and physiology come to my mind first.

2) What is the purpose of science?

Simply to find answers. What we do with them is a separate item. We could altruistically claim that Science is bound to 'better' human life, but that appears NOT to be the case when weighed against the seemingly immoral uses of scientific data; but conversely, we cannot demonstrate that Science makes matters worse. The worst case scenario is the exploitation of science for profit as its chief aim, ego-driven; example: General Electric sells military grade airplane engines to EVERYBODY. ("We bring good things to life")

If we claim that Science is about discovery, man's divinity, the progress of the Universal Collective Consciousness, or a tool to bring about Change in conformity with Man’s Will, I would go along with that. Science is a tool, for sure, but it is an expression of Man's Artistry as he sets about ordering reality.

3) Does science have a basic premise on which it is formulated?

Well, there are some basic premises upon which all our thinking is formed. "There are 3 basic theories of [reality]," (Liber ABA, Part 3, Chapter 0 - A. Crowley) "Monism, Dualism, and Nihilism." All of our thinking derives and returns to these 3 theories inevitably. Related, or perhaps restating, Taoist Mechanics, Hegelian Metaphysics, and Aristotelian Categorization all agree on the fundamental fact, as stated in Crowley's Book of Thoth "There are only two operations possible in the Universe, Analysis and Synthesis. To divide and to unite. Solve et coagula: said the Alchemists."

In lay terms, Science is based on the drive for the elusive 'knowledge'. It rests on observation, categorization, theorization, and experimentation. The premise: Man as The Magus (of Tarot) - the one who Orders Reality and thus trains his Foolish intuitions.

4) Is science a social activity?

It can be, for sure. I would even say that professional scientists form their own cultures on various scales with various sub-cultures. From another angle, people as a whole are all test subjects, and the vast majority is involved with the species' ongoing experiment toward resolution in a Hegelian sense. We're amazing like that.

5) What influence does society have on science?

Well, it depends on which level you choose to study Science. For instance, I attempt to apply scientific innovation to my guitar playing, drumming, weight training, running, and many other private endeavors. From the 'nurture' arguments of human development one could assert that Society has formed these habits in me. But it's obvious that American society does not as a whole apply scientific understanding to the exploration of their own potentials and powers of being. I would claim that my frustration with the current society, on various levels, fuels my drives at times.

On a larger scale, laboratory science, medical science, computer science, and probably physics as well are often affected by the military and political sectors of society. Public drug policies steer science in a lame, profit-driven, drug orgy of over-the-counter and self-medication addicts. The FDA is probably the single biggest contributor to the current American lab-drug craze. In similar ways we can trace the use of technology, atomics, germ-warfare, missiles, etc.

My personal understanding of matters is that the human experience and its evolution is the foremost focus of rightly directed Science.
